GREENVILLE, S.C. (FOX Carolina) – The Westgate Mall has a new owner. Although, at this point, it’s not clear who now owns the facility.

Reedy River Retail at SVN Blackstream, the real estate firm representing the seller in the Westgate Mall, announced that the transaction closed on May 23. The building had been up for sale for months. The announcement in 2023 that the building would be sold came three years after the mall’s owners filed for bankruptcy.

FOX Carolina News previously reported that SVN Blackstream’s website showed the price of the 450,000 square foot space listed as “subject to offer.” The sale price was not listed in the announcement about the mall sale. FOX Carolina News reached out to the real estate firm for the final sale price and will update this article once we get that information.

According to the news release for the announcement, the buyer is “an experienced mall operator,” but that’s all it says about the new owner’s identity. FOX Carolina’s team also asked SVN Blackstream if they are able to release the name of the mall’s new owner. We’ll update this story with that answer as well as soon as we get the information.
